If I recall it was $30 when I first bought it, rising to $35 and then $40ish where it sits today. Kerbal Space Program also had an incrementing pricing structure, though with more mid-way points.
$20 at the beginning of SEA, rising presumably to $30 for the game's launch. LD might not be "apples to apples" comparable to Astroneer, but where it is comparable is the pricing structure. Games I'm thinking of particularly are The Long Dark and Kerbal Space Program. If I may return briefly to the pricing, I'd venture to say that while the SEA price would be very reasonable and accessible at $20-30, it should also gradually increment upwards as more content as added, to rest at around $30-40 for the game's launch, and $25ish for the halfway point.
